From an AB perspective pleasing to see Finau play so well week in week out

The scary thing for all other teams is the Chiefs are still yet to welcome back the best AB of 2024 in Sititi. For me, it’s their title to lose from here.
Yeah but nobody has played against Higgins yet.

Stevenson foot of god there…

Chiefs are a fantastic front-foot team

I'm in the JRK has looked pretty good tonight camp too.
When you take into account it's his second game back, he's been very good. Couple of mistakes can be expected, but he's saved our bacon clearing up kicks a couple of times and been dangerous ball in hand.

Sense a lot of conversations in this thread going around in circles tonight. We got thrashed, a reality check. Bottom line not good enough.
Chiefs were way too good and it’s a reminder of how big the gap is and how far we have to yet to grow. The boys will be hurting but they were their own worst enemy.
Let the loss sink in and don’t let the emotion take over. The show goes on.
@Canes4life once sititi lord and nanai seturo get back chiefs are going to have crazy depth

I still think Chiefs are vulnerable up the guts - especially as the weather will get worse from now til the end of the Super season
Both Reds and Tahs really made in roads with direct forward play.
Blues did the same thing in the final last year
The question is can Chiefs shore things up in the business end of the comp.

Ratima in front of kicker?

@Machpants said in Chiefs v Highlanders:
That's my point about JRK, great quick kick and run, then just kicks it away. Has the flash skills but no smarts
He's been pretty smart on defence tonight. Some really intelligent play.

That was nothing short of a statement from the chiefs

Putting this into perspective. We lost four games by this margin last year.
This is only the second loss we have had without a bonus point.
Oh that's just fucking great. We've got 3 more hidings to come? Jesus wept

Nice 50/22 Millar. nice to see

Sititi was training today in front of the AB coaches, so might play for the Taua.
My guess for the Chiefs team is:
1 Ollie Norris
2 Brodie McAlister
3 George Dyer
4 Naitoa Ah Kuoi
5 Tupou Vaa’i
6 Samipeni Finau
7 Jahrome Brown
8 Luke Jacobson (c)
9 Cortez Ratima
10 Damian McKenzie
11 Leroy Carter
12 Quinn Tupaea
13 Daniel Rona
14 Emoni Narawa
15 Shaun Stevenson
16 Samisoni Taukei’aho
17 Aidan Ross
18 Reuben O’Neill
19 Manaaki Selby-Rickit
20 Kaylum Boshier
21 Xavier Roe
22 Josh Jacomb
23 Gideon Wrampling/Anton Lienert-Brown
